Tim O’Neill, CSCS
Tim is currently the Midwest Senior Territory Sales Representative for Power Lift®. Power Lift® is the leading innovator in the heavy duty strength training industry.
Tim served as the director for Quad Cities Sports Acceleration from 2001-2006, which is located within Plaza Physical Therapy, Davenport, IA. While with the Acceleration program Tim trained nearly 3,000 athletes from middle school age through professional level athletes in the Frappier Acceleration Sports Training Program.
Timothy has a B.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Health Promotion, with an emphasis in
Wellness and Fitness /Management. He offers a wealth of personal experience as a former full scholarship,
three-year starter on the Northern Iowa team as well as a three-year all-conference shot putter on the track
and field team. His sports experience adds incredible value to his athletes. While at the University of
Northern Iowa, Tim worked under the 1999 NSCA Strength Coach of the Year Jim Kramer who served as the
Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Athletes at the USOTC in Colorado Springs, CO before
landing the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at North Dakota State. Before Tim began at Quad Cities
Sports Acceleration, he served as a strength, speed and conditioning coach at the Riekes Center for Human
Enhancement in Menlo Park, CA where he trained many NFL, XFL, NBA, MLB and USATF athletes. Tim worked closely
with a former Stanford University and current Golden State Warriors Strength and Conditioning Coach (John Murray)
and United States Decathlon Coach (Harry Marra) both as an intern and staff member.
Tim is currently training former UFC Lightweight Champion and current Pride Fighter Jens Pulver. Through
some of his responsibilities with the Acceleration program, Tim has trained former UFC Heavyweight
Champion Tim “The Maniac” Sylvia, “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler, Tony “the Freak” Fryklund and the master himself,
Pat Militech of Militech Fighting Systems. Tim serves as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Colonial
Cup Quad City Mallards and Arena Cup Quad City Steamwheelers and consults too many coaches locally and nationally.
In addition to his responsibilities with the Acceleration program, Tim is in his 5th year as the boys and girls
Head Track & Field coach, Defensive Coordinator and Strength and Conditioning coach at Assumption High School.
Since O’Neill has been at the helm of the Track and Field program the Knights would post 3 runner-up finishes
at the state meet in 2002 setting 6 school records in the process. The men finished 8th in class 3A, their highest
since O'Neill was a prep at Assumption on a team that finished 3rd overall in 1996. Since O’Neill has returned,
on the women’s side, there have been 28 Drake Relays Qualifiers, 50 State Qualifiers, 19 Conference Champions,
11 District Champions and 7 State Place winning Relays, 1 State Championship Relay Team, and 13th, 11th, and Runner Up Team Finishes at the State Championships.
On the men’s side, 8th Place, 7th Place, Two 4th Place and a 3rd Place team at the State Championships, 22 Conference Champions, 25 District Champions, 63 State Qualifiers, 44 Drake Relays Qualifiers, 1 Drake Relays Champion, 33 State Place Winners, 3 State Place Winning Relays, 12 State Champions, 2 Class 3A State Records, 2 Nationally Ranked Relays and 1 All-American.
Tim holds numerous certifications, including: NSCA-CSCS, USA Track and Field Association (2001), Sports
Performance Coach, USA Weightlifting (2002), Club Coach, USA Weightlifting Federation (1999), and CPR
certification from the American Heart Association (2000), Frappier Acceleration® Administrator (2001), USA Track & Field Level 2 Sprints/Hurdles/Relays (2005), USA Track & Field, Level 2 Throws (2007).
